Water, Sewer
All water bills are mailed out the 1st of the month and due upon receipt. If your water bill is not paid by the 21st of the month, a late fee of $25 will be assessed. If you would wish to have your bill taken out automatically on the 4th of every month, please fill out the form and return to the City Office with a voided check.

Parks / Recreation
The Oakland City Park is a spacious 40-acre park with an abundance of trees and flower garden areas maintained by the Oakland Garden Club. Picnic areas and shelter facilities are available. The park includes a basketball area. Children’s play areas are furnished with swings and a “children’s bridge.” Two baseball diamonds are used all summer long by groups ranging from age 5 to adult. The large baseball grandstand is also used for Burt County Fair activities.
Camping Site :
Our camping site offers 13 camping spots ( 7 in the shaded area (East) and 6 in the non-shaded area (West) $20.00 per day with a camper parked in the spot – we do not take reservations – it is a first come first serve – We have 13 available water/electric hook ups in each spot. Oakland Swimming Pool is an outdoor pool located in the City Park with a large slide and zero-depth entry. Swimming lessons are offered annually. For pool information, call (402) 685-5374.
