Oakland-Craig Public School district is accredited by the State of Nebraska and the North Central Association. The junior-senior high school (built in 1950) has 26 classrooms with 226 students. Teacher/Pupil ratio is 1 to 12. A $1.9 million elementary (K-6) school, media center, high school-grade school commons, cafeteria, gymnasium, indoor walking tract and instrumental music room was completed in 1984. There are 13 classrooms with 233 students with a teacher/pupil ratio of 1 to 19.

Community Education
Vocational courses are offered in home economics, agriculture, industrial arts and business. The high school offers adult educational courses in cooperation with the Northeast Community College area.
